| 产品介绍 | Neurogenin-3 (NEUROG3) is expressed in endocrine progenitor cells and is required for endocrine cell development in the pancreas and intestine (Wang et al., 2006 [PubMed 16855267]). It belongs to a family of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors involved in the determination of neural precursor cells in the neuroectoderm. Function: Involved in neurogenesis. Also required for the specification of a common precursor of the 4 pancreatic endocrine cell types. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. DISEASE: Defects in NEUROG3 are the cause of diarrhea type 4 (DIAR4) [MIM:610370]. DIAR4 is a characterized by severe, life-threatening watery diarrhea associated with generalized malabsorption and a paucity of enteroendocrine cells. Similarity: Contains 1 basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. |
